The Reagan-Udall Foundation for the FDA is proud to announce the honorees for the 2025
Innovations in Regulatory Science & Policy Awards, recognizing extraordinary leadership, innovation, and advocacy in advancing regulatory science and protecting public health. The Produce Safety Alliance, Critical Path Institute, and Loren A. Eng will be honored on December 9, 2025.


The Leadership Award recognizes significant contributions, national leadership, and service in the field of regulatory science and public health.
The Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) is awarded for its nationally recognized training programs that have reached more than 100,000 growers, packers, and regulators worldwide. By making science-based education accessible in multiple languages and formats, PSA has transformed how the produce industry understands and applies regulatory science, strengthening the safety of our food supply.

The Innovation Award honors an individual, team, or organization that has improved the public health through a specific innovation in regulatory issues or science.
The Critical Path Institute is recognized for creating groundbreaking tools and partnerships that have accelerated drug development, advanced life-saving therapies, and redefined how regulatory science improves public health.

The Advocacy/Policy Award lauds an individual, group, or organization for policy achievements that advance regulatory science and have a direct impact on the public.
Loren A. Eng, President of the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation, is honored for her visionary, patient-led advocacy that reshaped rare disease policy, accelerated FDA approvals for SMA therapies, and set a new standard for how advocacy can drive regulatory science.
